For
Immediate Release St. Willebrord will host its 15th Celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday Dec. 11 and Monday, Dec. 12.
Once again,
as in the past few years, the St. Willebrord parish community has been
welcomed by St. Agnes Parish to celebrate this important feast in their
much larger church on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Festivities begin on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1:30pm with songs by the St. Willebrord Mariachi, "Estrella de Green Bay". The liturgy, with Bishop Zubik presiding, begins at 2:00pm. The entrance rites include the procession with the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe, carried by Quiceaneras (young women who have celebrated their 15th birthday), and accompanied by children of the First Communion class. A song will be sung by the children and a traditional dance from the state of Michoacan will be performed by the Quinceaneras. Follwoing the liturgy, a bi-lingual dramatization of Mary's appearances to St. Juan Diego will be performed. |
