Father Ken De Groot
Father Ken DeGroot

Father Ken De Groot O.Praem. 



is pastor of St. Willebrord Parish. He is a member of the Norbertine Order and was ordained in 1961. He is the oldest of seven children born to Ray and Josephine De Groot.

   After several years of teaching at Abbot Pennings High School in De Pere, and two years as pastor of St. Louis, Dykesville, he came to St. Willebrord in June of 1980. He has studied Spanish in Mexico and speaks in both languages.

Many people surprised Father Ken to celebrate his birthday at the Senior Center.  There was food, music, traditional dance and special songs sung for this wonderful occasion.

El Padre Ken De Groot, O.Praem., es parroco de la parroquia de San Willebrord. El Padre es miembro de la Orden Norbertina y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1961. El es el mayor de siete hijos nacidos de Ray y Josephine De Groot.

    Después de varios años de ser maestro en Abbot Pennings High School en De Pere, y dos años como parroco de St. Louis en Dykesville, llegó a San Willebrord en Junio de 1980. El ha estudiado el español en México y habla los dos idiomas.
