member helps lead sessions for Pre-Catechumenate (Spring through Fall) or the
Catechumenate (Fall Through Spring) or Mystagogia
(Easter Season)
Faith Companion
Sponsor
person or couple is willing to offer encouragement and companionship to a
candidate preparing for membership in the Catholic community. This
involves friendly presence for special ceremonies, during the Catechumenate
and for a while after Easter.
Sponsor Family
Invites
or accompanies assigned Youth Catechumenate families to parish activities.
Hospitality
Minister
Prepares
the setting and materials needed for prayer, getting acquainted, and for socializing
after the session.
Outreach Minister
Follows
up with individuals who have expressed an interest in preparing for full
membership, but who have not yet made a commitment.
Prayer Partner
Prays
for one of the candidates preparing for membership. This daily
remembrance in prayer may be in any time, place or manner.
Support Member
People
who have experienced the Adult Catechumenate process participate in sessions
as part of the team, offering encouragement rather than facilitating the
session.
